Ways to Become
a 603GC Leader
Depend on the Lord: 2 Chron 7:14 calls for us to turn to the Lord in prayer and repentance. Ps 127 says that unless the Lord builds, we labor in vain. Gal 2:20, I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. Lord, we give ourselves to your mission to reach NH.
Hold to the Unity of the “One Gospel”: The 603GC allies, partners, and team members are all holding to the essentials of the Gospel found in our Evangelical faith statements and our faith foundations of the Nicene Creed, the experience of knowing the Lord in the Lord’s prayer, and the ethics of the 10 Commandments. Commit yourself to these essentials of the “one Gospel” in unity with all Gospel Christians (John 13:34, 35, John 17:23).
Leaders Lead by Example: In Matt 20 Jesus said his leaders do not lord it over others, but the greatest will be my servant. We must seek to be excellent followers of Jesus, we must reach our family first, we must evangelize, and we must make missionary disciples and form disciples and leaders who make missionary disciples. Establish your own personal plan.
Learn the Essentials of the 603GC: We are called to equip individuals, families, and churches to transform their communities by the Gospel—so we must learn the most effective ways to do this. Start with becoming familiar with all the “top 10” most effective practices.
Discern Where You Can Be Most Fruitful: According to our gifts and calling, the Lord places us and prunes us so that we can “be most fruitful” (John 15). If you are an evangelist, then engage with people outside the church, and if you are a disciplemaker, pray about whom the Lord is giving you to make missionary disciples. Determine your sphere of influence and ask the Lord to show you what He is calling you to do.
Lead with Intercessory Prayer: When you confirm your mission fields, then intercede in prayer for all those you are seeking to reach and all leaders as 1 Tim 2:1-5 calls for prayer for everyone. Pray this list regularly or daily. Ask the Lord for guidance and wisdom (James 1) on how to pray in every situation.
Ask the Lord for Divine Appointments: Col 4:1-6 gives great advice to be prayerful, watchful, and share faith clearly with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of every opportunity. Pray for one opportunity per day, then two, three…
Advocate the 603GC: We are inviting all God’s people holding to the “one Gospel” (Gal 1:6) to connect others to their community or regional 603GC efforts. The 603GC is reaching every sphere, so advocate this in your church, among Christians in your workplace, among Christians in schools, everywhere. Become connected to the state or regional 603GC and pray for your church to develop a church outreach plan to impact your community.
Help Mentor and Connect Others: 1) If they are not believers, pray for them, cultivate a relationship, share your faith, and lead them to the Lord, 2) If they are believers, invite them to join you in partnership with the “One Gospel,” 3) If they are new, invite them to be equipped by our 10 practices to reach families and all areas of life, and 4) If they are leaders, help them connect God’s call with their church, community, and region.
The Lord Joins Us to Community: Jesus called the 3-12-72 to carry out the mission in community. Carry out this calling with family team, ministry team, church team, and/or community team. Stay connected with all 603 Gospel Challenge communities.
